The Long Halloween gets my vote. LOVE that story! A lot of people say that the Killing Joke was a big inspiration for the Dark Knight, and whilst that's obviously true, The Long Halloween is another clear inspiration, especially with the Gotham crime families and Harvey Dent being pretty important in both. Add the great detective, film noir style to the story and you've got yourself a winner!

You are a walking talking Doctor Who encyclopedia to me.

I love all of these Bat tales, but I had to go with Arkham Asylum. It's so dark, twisted, unusual...the way we're shown how AA came to be is just amazing. Great stuff.
