I know that some people here collect illustrations.

Did I mention in the past that the french editions of THE EYES OF THE DRAGON have some art that were created specifically for those editions?
The very first french edition included some of those art, that made it to the KNOWING DARKNESS artbook by George Beahm (i think that I have a pdf somewhere), but a couple of years ago we got another edition with brand new (and modern) art

    Excerpts of that newever version

For the completists : did you know that an essay by King was published, in FRENCH, in a french magazine in 1994 and was never published anywhere else?

It's in a special issue of that magazine, in which 240 writers answer to the question of what they were doing on a specific day
There is one on amazon, and if anyone wants it, I may be able to find other copies

I came across a Russian translation of IT with illustrations. They are quite entertaining, as the illustrator seems to have drawn a series of stills from the 1990 miniseries.

    Here's one for instance:

this is pretty hilarious since in the book, Ben does not see his army father standing in water, he sees a clown that turns into a mummy, standing on the ice of the canal. The sewer building in the background also plays no role at all in the book.

    святая корова!
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.

And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...

Something a bit different : on ebay, a seller whose nickname seems related to Yes Thos, a french artist who, according to wikipedia, is registered to the world heritage of cinema :
    https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yves_Thos

He seems specialised in creating movie posters (for instance Spartacus and some James Bond, the french vrsions I am guessing), and have created book covers for instance for "Bob Morane"

He has also done some french Stephen King covers. Not the first editions, but reprints from "France Loisirs"
And 2 original drawings are now available on ebay, at 600€ each

Thank you for posting this! I am following it on eBay but do you guys think the price is pretty steep? Or is that decent? I love IT and the original miniseries so it would be a cool add to my collection but that price.....

Thanks for your message, I'm glad you like the book too. I have no idea about the price. The seller seems to have relisted it and come down a bit to US $127,95. I looked if there were any cheaper copies for sale through bookfinder.com, but I couldn't find any. Perhaps they can be bought cheaper on 'the Russian internet', but I have no idea how, sorry.
