Also, a Head to Head Comparison table was added to the first post. I thought it would be fun to see how well or badly the nominees did and against which books.

The second wave of Round 3 polls just closed, and I have started to update all the data in this thread. The first table has been updated already, and you can see DT2 pulling away with 0.7 points. Different Seasons and The Shining remain winless.

The third and final wave of polls for Round 3 has closed and thus our main event of the first annual Constant Reader Awards is at a close. I'll be updating this thread with all the data collected, but first we need Aaron's final word on one tie that occurred.

The winner of Round 3 is The Stand, which gained every available point in this round. Different Seasons gained no points.

Look at the first post of this thread for all the information (it's incomplete at this point, cry pardon).

Oh... and it looks like The Stand is our inaugural Best Book Award recipient!

Well I would usually base it on performance from the previous rounds, but The Long Walk beat the Green Mile in round 1, and The Green Mile beat The Long Walk in round 2. So it's kind of a wash. I checked the voting and Hannah didnt vote for that one, and I know that she has read both books. I will talk to her tonight and she will be the tie breaker.

Thanks for all the thanks, guys. Really, it's all my OCD's fault. This was a longtime longshot idea and I can't believe it worked out so wonderfully. That's credit to Aaron, who took the morsel that I came up with and molded it into a pretty damn cool thing that I think a lot of people enjoyed taking part in. We still have one final event to take care of, our miscellaneous appended nominations, though, but for now The Stand stands alone as the best book Stephen King has ever written (at least according to us).

P.S.: An entry and a wad of cash? I'm going to Disney World!

years ago Stephen Spignesi did a ranking of sorts and took a buch of input from SKEMERs. The results back then were SKEMERS picked The Stand as #1 and IT as #2. Coincidentally Spignesi ranked them himself as well and he reversed it with IT as #1 and The Stand as #2. Of course that was doen probably 8 or 10 years ago and thus a few books did not get included! :-)

I'm happy as The Stand is the reason I read Stephen King and the reason I now collect All Things Kings! :-)

I totally spaced and forgot to add the last 15 poll results to the second post. My apologies. I have now done so, and so all out statistical data for our main tournament is complete.
