I think he's waiting to put in the final data from the last round.

I too am glad to see that Duma Key did fairly well. Kinda wish it had made it into the top 10 though.

I think that may have been due to the fact that a lot of people had not read it yet.

Ok, I thought round three was going to be a head-to-head bracket-style elimination round. Problem is that ten does not work in that format unless you give byes. It would have to be four, eight, sixteen or so on. So what format is the last round going to take?

It isnt an elimination round, just a series of face-offs. Basically each book will go head-to-head with every other book individually in a poll. Say you have The Stand, as an example...it will be in nine polls. The Stand vs. The Drawing of the Three, The Stand vs. IT, and so on. The winner of each poll will get 0.1 points added to its score. This way every book has an equal chance because it is having to face every competitor.

And the polls will be based specifically on which book you would rather re-read. Starts tomorrow, BTW.

I just started reading Duma Key last night, by the way

Speaking of positions, though, all these standings are not really new, they were culled from the two "overview" threads with the tables. Books from 11 to 30 are the same as the table in the overview thread for Round 2, and from 31 to 60 are displaced slightly due to the fact that Four Past Midnight is actually three spots below non-Round 2 books, thus making Nightmares & Dreamscapes, Firestarter, and Night Shift slide down one spot.

Well, like I said I just started last night, and managed to read only the portion I previously read as the short story "Memory". But right off the bat it has a feel of a really good vintage-King novel. And given it finished in 13th place out of 60 King books, that seems about right

Great project - well done guys.
Extremely glad that The Stand won out on this one - well deserved recognition of such a great Book.
Surprise for me:- Insomnia only made #20 - I rated it to finish a lot higher.
