Do you collect records too, Steve? I'll be in your neck of the woods tomorrow on a record shopping excursion. After that we're going to see Neurosis in Detroit.

I don't collect records like I do books, but I buy what I find interesting. I put some pictures up on my book thread once but they drew little interest.
My old Dual turntable still works fine, although it never stops turning, so I had to rig a switch in the power line. Good thing I used to be a journeyman electrician.
There are plenty of neurosis to be found in Detroit, all right!

You ever visit this site, see that no comments are being made, everything seems empty, and start to think about the movie Night of the Comet?

OK, more like The Langoliers now.

"I fancy it's the limitation to a thousand copies that is the chief charm and value of an edition deluxe. I don't expect to read this edition deluxe myself, although you needn't tell that to anybody else. Frankly, you know, I don't suppose that anybody ever reads an edition deluxe. No one puts bric-a-brac to any very practical purpose. There's some human instinct which makes a man treasure what he is not to make any use of, because everybody does not possess it.

Yeah, I can't resist those darn Deluxe Sets either. I bought all the Led Zeps, a Pink Floyd, a King Crimson, some other Beatles and I forget what else. The problem is the money. The ZZ Top is out now but I can't even scrape up 27 bucks until next Wednesday because of all these darn books I'm buying! But still, I love it!

And THE WALKING DEAD Season 9 comes out on Blu-Ray tomorrow! I HAVE to buy that! I think I have some Xanax in my medicine cabinet. Maybe that will help.

I have a stack of 78 rpms from my grandmother, but when I went to pick up the top one some years ago it fell apart, and I'm afraid to touch the rest of them.

From Mr. Floyd, Pink to his friends, I have only these. When they were doing those great sets some years back I just could not afford them, much to my everlasting regret.
