NOT looking forward to this day today....don't get all goofy on me here people and sorry if this is too much information.....felt fine yesterday morning...went to the gym from 9-11 like I do on M/W/F, came home and pissed a bunch of blood...uhm not good for a dude. No discomfort, but plenty offputting....abdomen started hurting as day wore on...went to walk-in clinic at 6pm to get evaluated and they said this was beyond their expertise...I likely needed a CAT scan of my abdomen and a urologist consult....talked it over with wife and as I did not feel like I was going to keel over, I punted further medical intervention until today as I had to work my midnight shift (still on that shift). Went to bed as I usually do at 8:30pm and woke with huge pain in left lower abdomen....wife is researching on internet like crazy and thinks I might have a kidney stone (shudders at the thought)....lots of water and 2 ibuprofen helped hugely and I've had mostly a pain free night. Still, I need to get in to see my doctor (calling when they open) and may end up getting scanned or something at hospital, but dreading this day....I just DONT get feeling bad like this. I DONT ALLOW it.
So, Betts likely closed today while I try to figure this shit out...wish me luck.

A stone will not be fun. I had a kidney stone once, and only once thankfully. I was doubled over and in lots of pain, like having a baby pain.
Not that I ever had one but the doc said for a guy, that's kind of what it feels like. It came in waves as it moved through the system.
Hope that is not it.
After going through an appendectomy 2 years ago, and hernia surgery 2 mos ago....I feel your pain. Get well soon David!!!

dang David, sorry to hear that... pissing blood and getting old sucks for sure. Only time I pissed blood was when I was 19 and a young stud.... damn hookers.

Thank you everyone....CAT scan confirms I have 3 stones....was just told by my doctor to see urologist today at 3:45pm and that stones are too big to pass so looks like day surgery tomorrow (or at least that is what I'm told). I have the whole pain wave thing going on....my doctor found me on the floor of her office with my head down so i wouldn't puke from the pain...most times is minor discomfort but when the waves hit, man oh man...I will update you all later if I can, but am told (right now anyway) that tomorrow they put me out and can remove all 3 stones by stent extraction not by cutting surgery. blessedly they will put me all the way out....more later.
