Good idea.
I have a glass top desk where you can put stuff under, it's where all my special notes and stuff from people goes. This is going right in the center!!

I'm working on a design for a pair of book stands to display the S/L Stand and its coffin tray case based on Jerome's.
My book shelf requires a tinkered design and man oh man is trig hard when you haven't done it for years!
Heres the design I came up with if anyone wants to use it:
Apologies for my artistic and photographic skills.
This stand is designed to hold the book in front and the "coffin" tray case in behind, showing from an inch below the brass plate up.
For it to fit on your shelf you need just under 10" of depth, 11" of height and just over 8.5" of width.
I sent away from a quote on this new design so as long as its not too expensive I'll have it within a few weeks. I'll post pictures of the finished product when I have it.
Matt, that acknowledgement is fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Eric, please post pics once you have your actual book stand in hand.
Hi everyone, I've been awfully busy at work, then I left for a trip to England and Scotland. I'm home now. Looking forward on catching up on this forum, and the site in general.

Welcome back Patrick!
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Good Morning to everyone out there! It's great to be alive! (in chipper mood today for some unknown reason)

Our 24th wedding anniversary. I surprised her with a weekend at the Biltmore Estates in NC.
Two night stay, a concert, swimming, a little food, a little wine, a little......I better stop there

Today I became (again) uncle. My niece (Felicitas) was born today. 3.3 Kg
And, for the first time in my life (I'm 29) I'm the owner of a car. Me and my girlfriend bought a Ford Ka (I don't know if you know it, but to think that the name of my first car is KA really made me believe I need therapy ). I always wanted to be the owner of a place (house or apartment) before having a car...and I never thought I'd own any before my 30s. But I do... I'm near my 30s and I really can't complain. I have a wonderful girl by my side, a wealthy family, a lot of awesome friends (and believe me...I consider a lot of the people here real friends. I really hope to meet all of you soon), I love my job (I'm videogame designer! What else I could ask??), I'm the proud owner of an apartment, now I have a car... Bad things happen but a lot more good things also happen and you have to keep those
I think it's the first time I post something in this topic about me. It feels good.

Okay, this is going to be a weird abstract type question.
But, if you were given the choice to choose any number as your own for all books from a publisher, what number (the number 1 is excluded) would you choose? Not thinking in terms of something important to yourself, but more so investment wise. Would #2 be the logical choice because its the next lowest? Would the highest number in the limitation be the way to go, so that you could say have a set of 200/200? Or is it a crap shoot all together?
From an investment perspective, I think your best bet would be the lowest number possible, in this case that would be #2. If the publisher's books were going to include some SK limiteds, then maybe #19 would be of value later.
Personally though, I would go with whatever relatively low number means something to you because the difference may be negligible anyway.

I was doing some quick research to see what a S/L Insomnia is worth these days and I found this completed listing on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Insomnia-by-Step...QQcmdZViewItem
Look at the last picture - I wonder if the winning bidder will be disappointed with the smell of their new book!
