I know this post is going to make me seem like a crusty old man....but......

If some jackass uses the phrases "butt-hurt" or "salty" to describe an emotional state in my presence any time soon, I may have to punch them in the side of the head.

Used it in a post the other day, Rick. But, since you weren't in my presence when I typed it; I reckon that buys me a reprieve.

For those who care: one of the three anti-Muslim videos that Trump retweeted from the Britain First movement this morning was originally posted on a Dutch website earlier this year and the boy beating the kid on crutches is neither a Muslim nor a migrant. FYI. He was apprehended by the police a day later so this is old non-news in every sense.

Here's some backstory on another of the videos. It had nothing to do with the UK or Islamic terrorism: http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/...-a8084521.html

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent all set up, they fell sound asleep.

Some hours later, Tonto wakes The Lone Ranger and says, "Kemo Sabi, look towards sky, what you see?"

The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars."

"What that tell you?" asked Tonto.

The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute, then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Theologically, it's evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What's it tell you, Tonto?

Tonto is silent for a moment, then says,

Just stopping in to say hi everybody. I finished interviews and chose my second new hire in as many weeks at work today, which will bring my little logistics crew up to 4 and 2 (4 on the radar and 2 on the telescope) with the new year. The benefit to that is to distribute some of my workload, thus freeing up some of my time to be able to spend it with you good folks. Just read about the HF Fundraiser going away; that's too bad, I enjoyed donating every year.

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

Every year I hold a toy drive to help poor kids in our town. A lot of people need help for the holidays. Last year I raised $700 and 3 car loads of toys. My wife and I went tonight and personally bought $320 worth. Tomorrow is the event. People come and donate a toy and then we all go four wheeling which is a passion of mine. Wish me luck DT friends. It means a lot to me to help these kids and give them something under the tree for the holidays!

Ever since my wife got a back surgery a few years ago, yoga and meditation helped her dealing with the pain and inspired her numerous artworks.
I know that most of you arent in Europe, so the timing isnt really the best, but she has now created an Etsy shop in order to try to sell some originals of her artwork

Below are two pastels that were recently commissioned to her :
    - the first one is a 3 piece art and was to celebrate the 7 years anniversary of a couple of friends, and hides numerous symbols related their couple,
    - the second one was inspired by the winter solstice I believe

Currently being unemployed, she wouldnt mind getting some money, so please feel free to share as much as you can !
