I've been seeing a lot of reports of people reporting human trafficking simply for people appearing to be different ethnicities or being an adult male with a minor. Much of the time it is an innocent situation.
Southwest Airlines is often erroneously accusing its own passengers.
This week Cindy McCain made a statement to a Phoenix radio station about her involvement in stopping a case of human trafficking. She claimed that she reported a woman and child to police and that it was indeed a case of human trafficking. "See something, say something." The only problem is that she was lying. She actually was simply a busybody who did not mind her own business. The police determined the child was in fact the woman's daughter. McCain issued a non-apology.

My kids and I visited both of those this past summer. Impressive and poignant.Went to the USS Arizona Memorial yesterday. Loading dock is under repair, so one can only boat around the memorial. Also went over and toured the Battleship Missouri.

An apparently little known fact about the "Arizona" often described as taking a bomb directly into the smoke stack as the sinking blow This led to the popular phrase at the time referring to someone "blowing his/her stack". Fact is the bomb actually hit a munitions dump on board sinking the vessel. Nothing earth shattering, but I heard this in a history channel piece right after seeing the post and thought what the hell its a little interesting and coincidental is all.

My sincere thanks to all the well-wishes, thoughts and prayers both here on the site and directly to my e-mail. 10 days out after 3+ weeks in the ICU. A bunch of things (BOOP, a UTI, septic shock and aFib) combined caused those 3+ weeks to be hell. Still need lots of rest and lots of food -- I'm 17kg lighter. But again, thank you for your thoughts and kind words.

Hey John. It's good to hear you are on the mend. As someone who has had a close encounter as well, I wish a speedy recovery.
I'm sure there are others out there who feel the same, but man, I am so sick of being sick!!!!!!!!Hopefully, this last procedure I'm recovering from will be the end of it for awhile.
