    Well I kinda introduced myself in another thread but I probably should do it officially here. I have actually been a silent lurker here for a few months now. However I have been a fan of Rolands since the week 'The Gunslinger' was first released and yes I had one of those precious first edition copies as well as that of 'The Drawing of the Three'. At that time I was a serious King fan having gotten addicted to him from 'The Shinning'. From there and for several years I managed to get King's book the week of release.

    However shortly after 'Drawing of the Three', skiing and school took charge of my life and I decided that I would wait till the day when/if King ever finished the Dark Tower series (at that time he was not sure he could live long enough to do it.) Well 'The Dark Tower' (Book 7) came and went and I was so busy with work I never managed to get the chance to read everything till I suffered vision problems forcing me off the computer. Reading books however was something I could do so starting last December I started to read the entire series and have once again fallen in love with Roland and his Ka-Tet.
    Being a computer graphic artist I have decided to do a ton of Dark Tower related artwork, sadly I'm once again back in school and taking one heck of a heavy course load so the progress is going slow but hopefully I'll be able to share some of that work with you all real soon.

    Hi everyone,

    How did you discover the dark tower?
    I started collecting King books in 1992 from Gerald's Game onwards. Bought The Gunslinger and The Drawing of the Three soon after. Did not start reading them until 2003-2004, when I read them back to back.

    Who is your favorite character?
    Oy and Roland. Theres something about that billy bumbler you just have to love!

    What is your favorite book?
    Wizard & Glass

    How old are you?
    25 (every year!)

    Where are you from?
    An hour north west of Denver Colorado, in a little town named Niwot. Basically inbetween where the Shinning and The Stand took place!

    Do you have a nickname?
    I'm widely known in the CG world as aurora.

    Daghain, I have seen the challenges. I would have loved to entered #4 and #5 but alas grad school became to much of a time stealer. However when #7 comes out I'm all over it!!!

    Hi guys! I just had an urge to finish the series, and I just wanted to see if there was community of fans of the series. I guess there is one lol.

    How did you discover the Dark Tower? Jr. High. Got up to the 4th book a few years ago. Hopefully will find time to finish the series. I think I've been procrastinating because I don't want it to end.

    hey I'm KO.

    Ive been reading Kings work since I was about 12, but only tackled the tower last year. It always seemed like quite a undertaking to begin.

    I'm clearly glad I finally did though. I read the entire series the first time in about 6 weeks.

    I'm pretty impressed with this site and its community, as I've been poking around for a few weeks now.

    Hello everyone im Steve and got addicted to The Dark Towers. Even though im not through it it is a great series. well here


    How did you discover the Dark Tower? Well I got a book for xmas about 10 years ago called The Wastelands, I saw that it was the third book so I waited to read till i got the first to obvisouly. So about 3 weeks ago i got the first 2 books now im on the 4th book.

    What is your favorite book?Cant say yet still have 3 and a half books to go

    Ooops just noticed the questionaire thingy

    I have no recollection of 'discovering' The Dark Tower series, was always something that was in the back of my mind that I would eventually get around to reading. I think it was an interview with sai King in which I first read about it but that was many years ago. So finally bought all seven just after xmas. I loved them all dearly.

    Favourite Character - Eddie

    Favourite Book - Impossible (just finished them)
