Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been reading Stephen King for over 20 years, so I just naturally included The Dark Tower books as part of my library. Wastelands is my favorite, I think, but ask me on another day and it may be different. I'm fickle. Roland is however my favorite character.
I live in Michigan(yuck! It got down in the low 30's last night. Stupid mitten!)
and I am 38.
I've been reading as many posts as I can, and everyone here seems really nice. I'm glad to be here.

How did you discover the Dark Tower?
The site, or the book? The site was linked through the Official site.
The book I picked up after my mother finished reading it. wow, that
was back in 1993 or 1994.
Who is your favorite charcter?
Cort. Cort is a tough man who dispite Roland's poor choice to challenge him early, Respected his choice, But loved him just enough to suggest that he wait. Tough love, thats why I choose Cort as my favorite character.
What is your favorite book?
Thats a tough one. Wastelands. I love the story of Blane the Mono. I enjoy reading about the rundown technology of NCP. The way that Stephen describes the enviroments, abandoned, forgotten and overgrown, very much captures my imagination in ways that other books do not.

27, been a fan of the series since my initial read through of "The Gunslinger."
