How did you discover the Dark Tower?
I have been reading King's work since i was about 14 or so and have always known that it was out there but never bothered to read it. While i was stationed in Japan back when i was in the navy i picked it up one day and really liked it, so did my wife, and we both ended up reading the whole series after that.
Who is your favorite charcter?
It would easy to say Roland but i like how you see characters involved with the dark tower from other stories king has written. I never picked up on it at first when i started reading the dark tower but the more books i've read of him i see how alot of stories have links.

The gunslinger

How did you discover the Dark Tower?
I am an utter book junkie, especially epic fictions, so when I saw a seven book-saga on the shelves in borders, spanning a few thousand pages all told; how could I resist?
Who is your favourite character?
It has to be Roland himself, doesn't it; the story is about him, more than anyone else.
What is your favourite book?
Definitely the Gunslinger; I think it has a very different tone to the later books, where it goes more towards a magical, crazy adventure, which is also good, but it wasn't what I was expecting,

Older than my teeth.

By accident. I worked at Boston's Logan Airport and stopped at the gift shop.
Then my world changed.
Who is your favorite character?
Roland. While many see Roland as Clint Eastwood-y (?); I simply see a smokey reflection of my father.

I enjoy the whole series, but the first and the last are my favorites.
