WANTED
Signed 1st Edition of Storm of The Century (Paperback)
Hi, I have been waiting to see which New England city the event is going to be in. I saw this here that its going to be in Portsmouth NH...is this for sure ??? Also I wanted to ask another question. At the signing for JAS it was only one book per ticket...if this event is just offering pre-signed books afterwards....will we be able to buy more than one book do you think ? or will it be limited to one per person again ? Thanks for any help !!!
When Jerome and I saw him during the LISEY'S STORY tour, they only sold presigned books before the King talk. The limit was one book at a time, but you were allowed to get back in line and see if they had any left by the time you got to the front again. Which I'm sure we would have done ad naseum if we hadn't already used up all our time at a brewpub.
What's brewpub? Sorry I didn't understand this:

I saw the pictures...I think Jerome and Patrick put away many a pint.
As for the So Cal Lisey's Story event, it was one to a customer....period.

WANTED
Signed 1st Edition of Storm of The Century (Paperback)
Ari, Gretchen said it. Specifically we were in an establishment that makes its own beer, so we were in a brewpub in a microbrewery.
Rick brings up a good point. The set up will be somewhat dependent on the group holding the event and on the demand for signed books. No way Jerome and I should have been in time for even a single book, but most people were simply walking past the table - they didn't care. We each ended up with two signed books purchased at cover price.
So, Rusher, to some extent, it's simply a matter of the luck of the draw at any specific event.

Thank you so much !! I just wanted to grab two and wasn't sure if I should bring someone else with me. I probably will anyway to be on the safe side just in case. Thanks for the help !!!
Thanks for the explanation, Gretchen and Patrick

Anyone know anything more about the signed limited "auction" on Simon and Schuster this weekend?
I'm planning on Atlanta and Sarasota with a nice college football weekend in-between!
Apparently a s/l edition will be available from S&S sometime over the weekend. I cannot find anythign official on their site but I got an email from Camelot books that said this was the case.
I hope it's true!
MsMod posted that she couldn't reach Scribner for official confirmation because they leave early on Fridays during the summer, but there's a chance that the s/l will go on sale this weekend.
Also, the EW excerpt of Under the Dome won't be out until a fall issue, though the exact date is as-yet undetermined.
From Camelot Books:
OK, here's what we have all been waiting for:
Sometime this weekend - they have no idea when (so it could be anytime from now until Sunday evening) the option to purchase the signed limited edition of Stephen King's UNDER THE DOME will go live on Simon and Schuster's website. They don't have the actual link, but you can get to it this way:
http://www.simonsays.com
when you get there, type Under the Dome in the search box and hit "go"
it then takes you to the available states of Under the Dome for ordering and I'm going under the assumption that when the signed limited edition becomes available it will come up along with the trade and collector's state.
here's the link that would take you direct to the Under the Dome states:
http://www.simonandschuster.com/sear...under+the+dome
Again, I have no idea as to the actual time this will go live, but I intend to check it often as I need one for my collection :-)
The email is on my home email and I'm at work, but the gist of it was that S&S will make an unknown number of S/L editions available sometime over the weekend on their website only. You have to go to the website, search for "under the dome" and at some point a link to the S/L edition will pop up as a result. At that point you should be able to preorder and pre pay for this edition.
Again, this is from Camelot Books and is unverified by S&S.
I got that same email from Camelot this morning as well. It's killing me that the links only work from home because my company doesn't use an upgraded browser - and I can't upgrade it myself. So I've spent all day hoping they'll wait until I'm home to open up the sales of the new S/L.
Patrick, there's a link on that 'updated browser' page that will let you go to the site anyway (at least it works for me). I keep getting it even tho I have IE 8.0. *shrugs*

Ok, there is a collector's set up for $75, is that the signed one, or is it something else???
Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.
Gretchen, at work I'm on IE 6.0. No clicking anything will help me.
Karen, that $75 edition is not the signed one. The signed edition will have a $200 price tag.
