Needed to chill bookwise before embarking on the third book in the Tim Power's tryptich. He's mind blowing, but pretty intense.

Daggers - yes, I've read The Fourth Hand. I've read everything he's written so far You should check out Until I Find You, I think you'd really dig it

It's great Dags - his most recent book (although a few years old now) and about a tattoo artist. The only Irving book I didn't get on with was, Setting Free The Bears because it's written in such a bizarre style.

I keep picking them up at the second-hand bookstore, so it's hit or miss what I'll find when I get there. Eventually I hope to read all his stuff, though.

What a coincidence, I'm about to start reading HoMEs. I tried reading them years ago when my English wasn't good enough for me to be able read them fluently. Now I'm giving them a new try.

Awesome Liisa! I love those books and am so grateful to Christopher for making so much of his father's work available to nerds like us. There is no such thing as too much Middle Earth stuff for me. It's fascinating to see how the history developed and how much Tolkien really put into it.

I hope you enjoy them this time. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on them.

He's awesome isn't he! It's funny that the book that's made me feel most proud of being British, is written by an American.
I think it's probably the most accurate of description of Britain and it's people you could get. I'm so buying EVERYTHING else he's written!
