I have many leather bound books.
I'm kind of a big deal.
Changing the plans that I’ve been setting on, I’m scared by the way that my life is getting gone
I don't know how I keep missing threads like this.
It seems that every time I log on, I see something I like that I hadn't noticed before.
For me, I'm(for the most part) with the old-school grouping when it comes to anime and manga. There are a few of the newer ones that I like, but not many.
Akira(Required.)
Cowboy Bebop(Also required.)
Ninja Scroll
Anything Satoshi Kon(Paranoia Agent, Paprika, Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers)
Hellsing(anime and manga)
Priest(manga)
I'm sure I'll come up with more eventually.
Elodin: "Tombs is for feckless twits who can't chew their own food. My boy's a Re'lar! He has the feck of twenty men!"
Kvothe: “Books are a poor substitute for female companionship, but they are easier to find.”
Simmon: ”It’s just ointment in case you get burned...but if you mix it with piss, it turns into candy.” Sim’s expression was deadpan. “Delicious candy.”

hhmm...looking back, I didn't realize that most of the anime/manga I like is pretty dark
...mayhap I should start looking around for something a little lighter.
Oh yeah! Has anyone heard about the new Afro Samurai(I think it's a short movie) that's supposed to be airing soon??

i think i'm into dark anime too. Wolf's Rain is rather depressing. and FullMetal is mostly a sad story too.. but those are my favorites.
Human kind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one and only truth.

It'll take a lot more than words and guns,
A whole lot more than riches and muscle.
The hands of the many must join as one.
And together we'll cross the river.

Oh snaps! Hellsing Ultimate IV is now on DVD!
I wonder if this means that the remaining volumes in the series will be released after all ...
I love Akira, Mushishi, Howl's Moving Castle.
Akira and HMC are awesome! I haven't seen Mushishi though...
I think Mushishi is the only anime that is awesome even as a live action movie.
Showing the Studio Ghibli love with my Totoro wallet
Hey - Just an FYI : Akira on Blu-Ray, to be released on January 24th!
The Man In Black Fled Across The Desert...
...And The Gunslinger Followed.

Remember, Remember, The Fifth of November, The Gunpowder, Treason, and Plot.
I had one gripe with My Neighbor Totoro...
The totoros were barely in it! I thought it would be all about totoros! They didn't even show up for a half hour!
I know! Have you seen Pom Poko? Not sure thats a kids film entirely My kid's watched it in Japanese though and still loved it!
I'm going to break the rules and just mention all the anime I've really liked that first come to mind.
I hate having to pick definite favorites.

That is so cute!!!
You have all my favorites up there
Who's your favorite Z fighter?
Does Trunks count?
If not, I really like Goku. Vegeta being a very, very close second.
What about yours?
Yeah, Trunks counts
For me it's a toss up between Goku and Piccolo. Goku for his excellent fighting abilities and determination, and Piccolo because he's by far the most interesting character. To me at least.
Yeah, Piccolo is awesome, but when I was younger, he kind of creeeped me out for some reason. Besides, he wasn't exactly Mr. Nice Guy at the beginning.
I love how Goku can kick serious fucking ass then then be super funny.

Just watched this episode. Again. I do believe that the falling scene is the most hauntingly beautiful and artistic series of images in the entire series.
