Well, here's the first one I can say I've never read. Seen the cheesy movie, but never read.

I gave it a 3. It was okay.

At a time when I was fascinated with werewolf stories, my mother (who was a librarian at the time) brought this book home for me to read. The rest is history. Taken as a story all its own, this is a good quick read. I finished it in a day, at 12 that was a hell of an accomplishment. I have reread it numerous times and actually have a copy signed by Berni Wrightson. (Wish I could have gotten Stephen King to sign it but, things are what they are.) It has a flaw or two, but I absolutely loved the story then and still do. After a lot of thought about how to rate it, I have decided to rate from my heart and give it a 5. I think it should have been included in the short stories poll, but just because of its length.

I gave it a 4. Good, but not amazing or poignant to me in some other way.

I've never reread it and I don't feel like doing it. It was okay, even though average would be a bit too much for me. Gave it a 2 because it was a bit boring and overly average : nothing was new and nothing got me hooked.

    4. I thought it was good. The plot could not have supported a novel length book, thus I think King picked the best medium to tell this story. I must say, How can the "modern master of horror" ignore such an important part of the Horror genre. (the werewolf) For the 2 or 3 hours that are required to read this story, one would be remiss not to read it.
