I am sorry love, this list really was a tricky sonofabitch, - I was going to comb the thread another time, though, in case I had missed something. I am very grateful for this nomination, and third it - I love The Tommyknockers and that particular moment was really heartbreaking.

I will update the list Monday morning, keep nominating and seconding! In the end, nothing will be left unheeded.

Is anyone going to nominate anything from Blaze? I'd second it...

If that doesn't make you cry, check yourself for a "Made by North Central Positronics" seal because you are a robot.

I think I "fourth" this one. I cried so hard I was violently ill.

oops...how did I miss page three? I "sixth" this one.

(oh, and I'll cast a side vote for the one by Woofer...those characters kill me)

Thankee sai. I have no doubt that it was a real pain to juggle and that you didn't mean to omit mine. I think it originally got lost in the shuffle of the thread because nobody even seconded it before and there are a lot of very caring people here at tdt.com.

    Don't they just? Thankee.
It'll take a lot more than words and guns,
A whole lot more than riches and muscle.

The hands of the many must join as one.
And together we'll cross the river.

I don't know if this has been put up, but I doubt it.

Bridge to Terabithia, when he gets back home from the museum, all the way until he throws his paints in the stream and his dad talks to him.

That has got to be the single saddest moment in literary history, at least in my eyes.

I hope you guys have read this, and if not I gave away no plot points.
"So many vows. They make you swear and swear. Defend the King, obey the King, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the King? What if the King massacres the innocent? It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or another."

That does sound sad JB, but I think it's for King works only.

i would like to sixth the It saddest scene. that scene, because of the buildup to it, nearly makes me weep every time i read it. i've read the book a handful of times and wish that that scene were different everytime. it is because of that ending that i went on to read everything else sk wrote. i sixth IT, definitly

    So it goes.

    I third the Cujo scene.
Have you heard of people with short fuses? Well, I have no fuse at all, and there's a thousand could testify to it if I hadn't stilled their tongues for good.
