Welcome to Living Avatars everyone. This is just another simple (and hopefully fun) distraction for the site.

If you go into your UserCP>Choose Avatar Options>

you will see a choice on how to create a living avatar. Here is how it works:

There is all kinds of stuff to buy out there and the amount of money you have is directly reflected in how many posts you have, more posts, more money.

Most of the stuff is really cheap but some takes a few bucks.

You buy what you can and then follow the instructions to create a avatar, mine is an example of what can be done and I plan to add new stuff to it all the time.

The fun part about it is that you can buy stuff over time and then easily switch out your avatar depending on mood, season or holiday.

Obviously, folks don't have to use this as their avatar, just if you want to mess around with it.

Matt - are you talking about post count as in the number displayed on the top right corner? or all your posts in total?

I think it's the posts listed in the upper right hand corner. I have 201 (prior to this) posts and when I checked my "bank" for living avatars I had 201 points to spend.

I believe Jerome got it right in his response up there.

You should be able to start by buying a person (if you have enough money) and then dressing from there.

The people with hair are really cheap

seriously, though...where the hell are the heads and bodies? i have hair, clothes, background, etc...i just need...a body.

The bodies are on the root of that chibi_life folder under the others.

mostly just bald, naked people.

gah. nevermind, it won't save it like it looks. it keeps fucking it up.

hmmm...do the shoes fly up? that happened to me once Other than that it should be fine. I do think you have to save it though, make it your av to see, but I also think you other one can be added back easily.

I'm still tinkering with it but it shouldn't be too screwed up.

yeah, the shoes keep flying up. so did the pants. then it looked like my shirt was tucked in. i fixed it all and saved it, but then when i looked, the shoes were up under my armpits again.

it was my av, but it was all messed up, so i changed it back to the decepticons logo.

I screwed up a tiny bit and had to uninstall/reinstall the "people" pack.

The good news is it doesn't change the current av and...anything you bought, it was refunded. Just have to buy again.

I know only a couple of us are trying this, but I figured I would announce the mess up anyway
