Thanks for sharing this with us Gerald. A great find.
Again, simply amazing! I'm adding it to the listing in the first post.

What is the "orange" Gunslinger proof worth? thx! Curt
I modified the listing to reflect that the UK Revival proof has a blue band--at least some of them do.

Thank you all for your kind words. I was very happy to finally see it and add it to the collection. No Mark, I was led to believe that the condition was really bad, but other than some spine bulges with the glue and a few tears, it is not that bad at all. I have also seen and bought worse over the years. Thanks again for all your help. I would love to say that "Night Shift" is next because George did see it in 1983 when King was doing the signing, but he hasn't seen it since, and doesn't know the owner. It's also possible that what he saw was a Crane proof and not a smaller version. If anyone here has a "Night Shift" Crane proof that was signed on May 14, 1983, I would love to find out. If so, then that was the proof that he saw that day. Either way, I have no leads on that or "The Shining".

Hi George,
It wouldn't be much of a secret when you see all the postage stamps from Thailand, with a King holding his golden dog. Also, I was under the impression that the range was about $50. That wouldn't even cover the cost of postage from here. Costs a small fortune to mail anything here. I am afraid this cost a wee bit more than that in 1980, and it didn't come down in price either unfortunately. I hope you get something equally as nice though.

Well George, I will do my best to HABU if and when I decide to let it go to greener (or bluer) pastures. I still think you have a better chance of finding some "To George" books than I do. I am happy to have quite a few "To Gerald" and even more "To Atsuko" books, but none for my namesake "Gerald's Game". That would be a cool find.

Was the seller Glover's Bookery? Do we know for sure it was an orange Gunslinger proof? Or is this all just speculation?
I think the item herbertwest is referring to was a Plume Gunslinger with the earlier, withdrawn cover. I was the buyer for it at $145 but after waiting nearly 48 hours I got a cancellation notice from ABE. I suspect that some jackwagon called Glover's and offered him a higher price and he sold it out from under me.
