Blue with envy. Congratulations Gerald!
When I see this I can't help wondering if this copy was the inspiration of Eiffel 65's classic 1999 hit "I'm Blue" song. Looks great G.
They are very rare, but not in the best condition or complete (UTD). They probably would have gone for a lot more if in fine condition. Just place setters until better copies come along? If they ever do, as I've never seen either for sale before. I believe I know most of the bidders.
Think I know who the winner was. I went for it but I didn't bid much higher than what it sold for because I'm low on funds right now. Normally I would have gone higher which would likely have driven up the price more. I feels it's a good price though. So congrats to the winner.
Like I said before, it's missing Volume 2 and 3 Of Under The Dome.
Both items were in tough shape (not sure about Very Good) but for $425, someone got a good deal.
Hi, what are you talking about? I already sold this to you for $150.00, do you not remember? Wait a second, it wasn't your 'twinner' I hope. If so, just track him down and get it from him. Also, when I was 12 years old, I was not going out buying $150.00 books. Respect!
Good luck.
Gerald
LOL. I was just noting the penciled in price of $150 on the proof. I doubt that it can be obtained for 10 times that now. It's a beautiful proof. Forgive my poor attempt at a joke
I always loved this book, partly because of how coincidentally similar in age I am to Jack, within a few months anyway. No I was certainly not buying expensive books at 12, but I was close to getting a start reading SK around then. My first "collectible" was when my mom somehow found out that DT2 was being published (which I knew nothing about in those days), and got me the Grant 1st Trade.
Anyway, thanks so much for posting these excellent pictures and stories. I really enjoy poring over them and looking at them all, and am really appreciative that you share them with us.

Yeah it had been relisted numerous times. There are much better condition ones available.
Doesn't look perfect to me, but starts at $.99

Not technically a proof, but I saw this review copy of IT and could not pass on it since I had not seen one for IT before. Luckily, it appears the book has never been read. I can post close ups of the front and back of the letter if anyone is interested.
VERY nice! Congratulations!
