Hi,
This is my first time posting photos, so I hope it works. These are my new additions from New York yesterday. Stephen was in great form, probably from his trip to The White House, that he signed 3 of my proofs. My copy of The Stand Crane proof has been anxiously awaiting a return to its creator for over a decade, and that journey is now complete. It is probably a lot longer still since Stephen has handled this proof, since it came off the printing presses in Barnstable M.A. 37 years ago. When he saw it, his first words were "Wow".
While the UK Dark Tower 7 proof is not as rare as The Stand, what makes this proof interesting, is that even though 100 copies were printed, after the publishers discovered that "Limited Edition" was spelled incorrect, they retracted as many copies as they could as they didn't want to upset Stephen with that error. I don't have an exact number of how many were pulped, but there is not 100 copies extant.
Cheers
Mark

I never get tired of seeing Doubleday proofs. Simply awesome! Congratulations.
This is my favorite piece along with my 'Salem's Lot Red Roman(lettered). Proof is in fine unread condition, spine hasn't even been cracked, there's not one crease!!!! I never knew if I'd ever get one but I'm absolutely thrilled I did. On top of it its a FINE copy!!! Note: picture of front and others have a small black mark, this is on my lens not the proof. Lighting isn't very good but proof has same color throughout.

Congrats Matt. That's a heavy hitter proof you got there. Quite impressive!
Oh no! I'm totally broke! I just spent even more on round 3 of the proofs at Betts. I wanted to bid on that.
Thanks for the comments!!!!
Kris I wish I could say that I hadn't sold a large amount of books for medical bills and upcoming surgeries! That would not be true though. A few members here that know of my condition and excruciating disorder that I deal with every day and will continue to for the rest of my life. That being said if I have to list books for medical reasons then that is the exact reason. I connected with a private collector who I made a mutually beneficial and private deal with. The specifics are not important other than they received what they wanted as did I, sometimes needful things are better than money.

Added the UK Dark Tower VII proof with the misspelling on the limitation page to the listing.
