You are lucky. Very hard to find this proof in good condition. I guess being nearly 30 years old would do that. The UK quite often had prototype dust jackets for their proofs which was nice. The same is true for "From a Buick 8".

Mike, could you post a picture of the prototype dj? I don't believe I've seen that before. Thanks.

I would like to see it too. My copies have dust jackets but with just a cursory glance they seem to be identical to the regular trade edition dust jackets. What differences does yours have?

Thanks for posting that Mike. The difference I'm seeing between that DJ and the final trade version is that there's a different picture on the back.

Very interesting, that "crazy" pic is on the back of the Misery US Trade edition so maybe they didn't want to use the same pic for two books in a row?
