Back on topic please.
I think the inscription/sig is legit, but too bad about the condition. Still, as a space filler ...

I sure hope a member here got it. I knew it was a steal (and could have bought it myself), but I try to post items that are of importance to members.
I know (or at least, I think) that Ari and HW received a copy of the Scribner Dr. Sleep proof from the publisher. I assume John, Mike and Bob have found copies. Anyone else? Sentinel? With each new book it seems to be getting progressively more difficult to find Scribner proofs on the secondary market.
I had a copy of the Dr sleep proof .
Got a great deal on it , only $12.95
That's the only one i've seen for sale except the one on ebay yesterday .
I never really managed to get in touch with Scribner. We exchanged a few emails, but that was pretty much it. I guess, mostly because I am on the other side of the pond.
But i am in touch with Hodder and it's their proof of Doctor Sleep that I have . it's a really nice design, and it is also a numbered copy that includes the name of the recipient.
And i got it signed in november :-)

I do not yet have a copy in my collection. I was over two hours late seeing the one that sold yesterday and that is as close as I have come. I've got the UK and CD proofs but not the US Scribner yet. If the collector who got the one yesterday is on these boards and they want to make a quick profit they just need to send me a PM. I know I'll eventually get one but it hasn't happened yet.
No, I don't have one yet, still looking. Anyone selling? I don't get it. When Scribner use to send out copies to media outlets I had no problem finding copies. Yet, I've beenI know (or at least, I think) that Ari and HW received a copy of the Scribner Dr. Sleep proof from the publisher. I assume John, Mike and Bob have found copies. Anyone else? Sentinel? told they printed 250 copies of Dr. Sleep and it was considered "a big push" to all outlets but I know several big media that do book reviews that did not get one.
Given the scarcity of copies, I doubt that 250 number. I know that none of my contacts got a copy and I had to go elsewhere for mine.

The french publisher is currently holding a contest opened only to french residents, in which 30 copies of the upcoming french version of BAD LITTLE KID will be given away.
An interesting thing is that the publisher says, and so are the terms & conditions, that "if the winners do not have the appropriate material to read the ebook (which will be available via ibook store, kindle & kobo) they would be provided with a printed proof of the story".
To be honnest, i think that this is a bad idea from the publisher. Because, there is a computer version of Kindle, meaning that you dont have to own any ebook reader to read the story... and some people will be jealous.
I am certain that almost (if not) all of the winners, will ask for a printed version... and how many of them will end up on ebay?
But that's a good thing for collectors here, isn't it?
Anyway, I hope to get a printed version too...
