Nice, matching numbers. That is a great set. One I wish to have in the future.

I had a Brodart sample pack that contained a cover with no backing. I didn't know what to do with it, so I cut slots in it and put it on an ARC. I suppose you could do the same with it for any other book, but it was a bit of a pain. I was not fully satisfied with it the way I am with putting these things on dust jackets.
"...that Siren which called and sang and promised so much and gave, after all, so little." ~ Ray Bradbury
This is my maiden voyage with pictures so here's hoping...
I usually wouldn't make mention of this but it's a very nice first edition and it showed up with an unexpected signature.
And I couldn't resist seeing this on the quirky thread, but no, I wasn't one of the high bidders. I found it a cheaper way.

I have been trying to get a copy of the S/L of the Talisman. But haven't had much luck. At a reasonable price.
So just popped in to the post shop today, not expecting there to be anything, and BOOM! This is sitting there waiting for me:
Bad Penny strikes again, and the item has bee posted and received quicker than Garfield finds Lasagna! The book is in better condition than the recent photos posted indicate. I think I got a very good deal here, and will have to think of some way to repay BP in some manner...
Oh, was that all in the package from BP? No! This man is a legend.
An original hand drawn Monkey from Glenn Chadbourne, and a set of UTD cards form the collectors pack, just popped in as an additional surprise.
Said it once (lots actually) and ill say it again: Thanks Grant!
Congratulations all!
Jimimck, I've just saw your message. No, no envelopes yet. It will arrive soon!
Wanted list:
Ubris
Nice additions Subie09lega and Dan.

We all know what it looks like, so I won't bother taking a pic...but my new Pride and Joy is a slipcased 1st HC of KNOWING DARKNESS: ARTISTS INSPIRED BY STEPHEN KING (Centipde). Behind the times a bit on this one, so nice to finally have a copy -- and even better at the price I got it for: $58 shipped.
That was a GREAT buy!
John
Great price. Post the picture, who cares. We've seen everything before anyways and it's always cool to see those some books in collection threads.
Great price on the KD. Congratulations!
I'm going to cheat a bit (out of necessity, since the "like new" copy I won has not yet arrived (just won a few days ago)) and use the seller's photos:
It was an eBay auction win @ $50. Seller had shipping at $37 for Priority Mail (which fortunately for me may have spooked some other buyers off) -- I inquired before auction's end if he could do Media Mail, and he said yes. So after a total net cost of $58, I finally have my copy of this striking book.
Buy of the year?
