Long story short, Rose and I collect Disney movies, brand new, sealed, best version possible (Blu-Ray, if its not available on blu-ray then DVD, and so on) and the average price on eBay is around fifteen bucks, higher for the big ones, Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, etc. Well, I just got one hell of a deal. I got the above auction for $550. Fuck. Yeah.

Hell, that's a lot of movies in one auction - good one! Does collecting in movies follow similar lines in books? (i.e., limited edition, signed, "first" edition, etc.?)

Not like what youre thinking, but there are many different editions of movies, see here for example:

That's all the blu-ray editions of just that movie. The plan is to collect all the basic blu-ray/first editions first, then go from there. This listing checks off a LOT of boxes in my Justin Brooks-like list I've created.
