Congratulations, Rick. I'd love to own a set some day!
I'm very excited about my recent King acquisitions. I’d also like to sincerely thank Shibus from whom these came, and for his generous communication with me. I am forever indebted to, and grateful for, this broad King community.
The first is a very fine The Dead Zone US 1st with one of a very unique inscription dated close to publication date.
The second is a very fine Danse Macabre US 1st, dated prior to publication (according to catalogue). It is inscribed to author Robert Bloch, one of the six authors to whom the book is dedicated, and Bloch’s wife.
Congrats man!!

That is so cool!
I do love inscriptions and that DANSE MACABRE one is killer.

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
As even more a Bloch fan than a King fan, I would give anything to have that association copy of DM. Congratulations...even though I'm so jealous my head is ready to explode. ;-)
Being out of a job, I'm being careful to try to stay cash neutral with acquisitions....I have acquired some recent treasures (for me anyway).
1) I bought a Lettered Dark Tower Portfolio from Overlook Connection...it was to contain an original art piece by Glen Chadbourne...I got Letter "W" and I was elated to find that I got an original Chadbourne painting of Shardik...this will go nicely with the Ned Dameron remarque that I own of Shardik.
2) I acquired a 1st edition Charlie the Choo Choo signed by Stephen King.
3) I acquired a 1st edition Gwendy's Button Box flatsigned by Stephen King... I know Chris Walker scored a copy from a bookstore in Maine (he was the 1st that I know of)...This is the second unless others here have managed a copy.
Here is my Dameron sketch (sorry picture is dark....taken long long ago)
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Love all the new P&Js! Congrats everyone!

Nice, David! That Shardik painting is cool!
(And the signed Gwendy's and CTCC aren't bad either!)
This isn't a King book, but it is my very first signed 1st edition. I hope.
My wife and I were on our way to Ikea to add to our Billy collection so we thought we would hit some thrift stores on the way. After about five unsuccessful stops we pulled in to a Goodwill store. It wasn't looking too promising. I scanned the Hardcover books with not one King sighting, so just for kicks I started looking through the kids books section. On the bottom shelf I spotted this familiar sight. I picked it up and noticed right away that it already had Brodart installed. Okay, that's kind of weird. Maybe it's a library copy? When I flip open the front cover to check for a price clipped inner I see the price is still there. And the inner flap is bookmarking the title page. That's when I see it, signed and dated!!! My first thought, of course, was, "is this authentic?" It looks like other signatures I've seen before, but I have no way to tell.
This is where you guys come in Did I really get a signed 1st edition at Goodwill for $1.57?
That Dameron Remarque is killer, David! Nice grabs on the sigs.
You don't know my kind.....You don't my mind.....Dark necessities are part of my design.....
I would say yes you did. .
In 07 he generally hadn't gotten into the "doodles" that came later. And as much as I love his stuff, no one is likely to forge a sig on a book that can still be had for under $100. Plus, it just plain looks like his sig.
Well done!! Kind of a rush, wasn't it?
