I'd like to take a moment to recognize Get Out.
It's not going to stay at 100%, but to get to 100% fresh rating with 95 reviews collected is unheard of. The trailer for Get Out was one of the best I've seen in recent years. If the film is as good as the trailer, we're in for a treat.

I didn't even know about this film until this week. Trailer looks really good though, and I've been hearing good things about it.
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
My brother saw it last night and he wont' shut up about it.
A really cool superhero short film just popped online, based on a Russian comic book Major Grom, and has already been viewed over 4 million times, pretty good stuff (make sure the CC button is on for subtitles):
Super huge spoilers for Split, so don't even open the spoiler if you haven't seen it, but I thought this was very cool:
Wow, that's pretty cool.

In honor of my birthday tomorrow, here is a list of my favorite films from my childhood. I'm sure most people won't read all the captions, but I hope you at least look the list over. It might just bring back a few fond memories.

Great list. Pretty much all of those would make my favorite list as well. Lots of good memories looking over them. I didn't see Terminator but could have missed it.
Thanks, Zelig. It was a lot of fun to put together. It's funny you should mention Terminator 2. I have a pretty cool story for the first time I watched it.
My parents used to take us to the Drive-in. There were two screens. I'm not sure what film I was supposed to be watching with my parents, but I must have found it boring, so I turned around in the backseat and watched what was on the other screen on the other side of the lot. The film - Terminator 2. I had no idea what it was, but seeing this massive human just grabbed my attention.
I essentially watched the entire film with no sound. It wasn't until years later that I got to watch the entire film, with sound of course.

Great story! How much of the plot were you able to understand watching it without any sound? And how was the experience watching it later with sound. Did you remember the scenes and say, oh yeah so that's what was going on there...
I love seeing Clue on your list. I watched that movie endless amounts of times (mainly because it was one of the few videotapes I owned). There is something about it that I find so fantastic. It's got a great cast and one of my favorite sets ever. The plot is absolutely ludicrous to begin with but that never bothers me. Regarding the multiple endings, apparently there was another ending where all the house guests are poisoned and die at the end but audiences thought it was too dark and was not included on the VHS release. I would love to see it one day if it ever surfaces.
This list was FANTASTIC. I can still remember T2 too. I was in grade 9 at the time. I remember working on the farm all week to get enough money to go see it. They didn't want to let us in... we got in though. I had no shoes and only sock feet... I cannot for the life of me remember why. I remember I walked there (prob 5/6 miles from my friends house.. as my parents would not have let me go see it) and back. AND that was the most amazing movie ever. I have to say... it started my life long obsession with movies and villains/heros. It remains in my top 5 FAV films of ALL TIME.
Tommy: I was happy to see Clue there too. I will be doing a re-watch as I forget it. It was a great film and we played that game ALL THE TIME growing up!

I love a lot of those same movies from my childhood as well. Even today if I see a movie like Tremors on I will watch at least part of it. It's funny that the one movie that you said that you haven't found anyone who doesn't like it is one of the few on your list I don't like. I never could finish What About Bob? Maybe I should give it another chance one day.
The film is so visual, I remember being able to follow it pretty well. I remember not really understanding what Arnie really was, probably because I had never seen the first film. The weird thing is that I remember seeing T2 on TV when I was a teenager and being like, "Hey, that's that movie I remember watching as a kid." The problem is, I remember not watching it because I had already "seen" it. It wasn't until I was in my 20's when I finally saw the original and decided to watch all the films again. I was amazed at how much of T2 I missed, or didn't fully comprehend in the back of my Dad's car that night.
Completely agree. Clue is one of the those curl up on the couch on a cold day movies. I can watch it endlessly. I had never heard about the ending where they all die. That's pretty awesome. I'd love to see that ending.
Thanks, Webstar! That's a great story. I'd love to know what happened to your shoes.
I'm dying to find a theater near me that plays older films. There's one in New Haven, but I'm not paying for parking.
WHAT!?! Now I have to rewrite that caption. Thanks a lot, Rube.

It's been years since I've read about that fourth ending and perhaps my description wasn't completely correct.....
Major spoilers here...
The Perfect Murder: CLUE’S Infamous Fourth Ending
It's also pretty cool that all the house guests' cars match the colors of the characters pieces from the game.
I finally got (most) of my Korean movie posters up. It was tough to choose between which to leave off. I'll have to move the whoie wall up to fit them, and since I'm painting the wall red in a few months, they're going to have to wait.
From left to right: Whiplash, Mad Max: Fury Road, Her, Grand Budapest Hotel, Inside Llewyn Davis, Foxcatcher, MI: Rogue Nation, Everybody Wants Some!, Bridge of Spies, Amadeus, It Follows, Edge of Tomorrow, Wolf of Wall Street, Spectre, Snowpiercer, American Hustle, The Lobster

I got two but my best friend claimed the other one. I'd definitely give you one of the interstellar ones, but both were badly damaged. The only ones I have currently have left over myself in good condition are 12 Years A Slave, Captain Phillips, Kingsmen: Secret Service, and Mr. Turner (which I still want). You're glad to have the other 3. There might be a few left over that he doesn't want. I'll ask him.
I just wish I knew what happened to the last batch. He gave me a batch a few years ago with Silver Linings and DJango and a bunch of films from around that time....they just vanished. Both me and my friend have moved since then and nothing :/
