That was my most romantic line back when I was dating

We thought it was pretty damn good. The effects were fantastic and the story itself kept us interested.
Not nearly as good as Die Hard, but still the second best movie I have seen in a while

What about the fight scenes?
When Leonidas went slow-mo in the first battle <3
That was truly amazing, I must admit.
I also liked the way they showed how the warfare worked.

Yes, you should watch it again...and again, and again and again and again!!
I have to watch it when I have free time, someone else in the house dosn't like movies like that.
The Tardis (Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space) duh!
An appreciation thread for a movie that reminds us why we watch movies in the first place : to be dazzled and entertained.
What were your favorite parts?
What didn't you like about it?
Own any memoribilia from the movie?

Pour beer in his bowl. After a while he'll go something like:
"I want chicken, I want liver, it's yum it's yum it's pleas----Zzzzzzzzzzz"
I liked the queen especially, she was willing to get taken roughly if it meant her King would get re enforcements. When he betrayed her, he got the knife.
I thought she was cool as fuck.
Loved the fight scenes, very well done. My only problem was the spear itself. Its impossible (no matter how strong you are) to pull a spear free of a human body like that. Its the main point of all these "ancient weapons" shows on the history channel. Very hard to get something like that back out.
But I am not the type to complain about stuff like that, only because you asked.
Overall, a wonderful movie on all points.

Matt - Agreed. It's also highly improbable that a spear like that would last more than 2 or 3 charges, they would break soon after...but alas, it's a movie, and if we have movies where the antagonists wields a six shooter and only reloads once during the movie, we can't really give the spear thing too much heat.
I totally agree.
I really did love the movie though and the real test is the fact that my wife (who is not a blood and guts fan) really enjoyed it as well.
She wanted to be taken roughly at the palace right after.
