    But... Doctor Strange???

Marvel should really concentrate on the Avengers idea they have going for now and leave it there for the next few years. Dr. Strange is one of the less understandable and less action oriented of the Marvel title characters. I fear the story would be very similar to the treatment Hellblazer received in the form of Constantine. Good movie but having little to do with the source material.

Watched The Happening the other night. This has to be one of the worst films I've ever seen. The acting in the film was terrible. Mark was completely miscast, I just could not find him to be believable at all in this role. And I really don't think Zooey was much better either. That aside there's one thing that really bothered me and that was when
    Spoiler:
John Leguizamo's character decided to abandon his daughter to go in search of his wife. I don't have kids but I can't imagine if I did that in that type of situation that I could leave my only child behind to go search for someone who is most likely dead, and in the process there is a very high chance that I will get killed therefore leaving my child without a parent. I don't know for some reason that scene just really bothered me.

Sorry I will now end my rant about this film.

Just another review that makes me glad I decided not to see it. Shyamalan's movies always wind up pissing me off so I figured I would just sit The Happening out. Everybody I know that saw it hated it.

    Review for Dragonball.

    Spoiler:
Sounds so-so. It doesn't sound as bad as I thought it would. The reivew does have me wondering what it is with Fox, epic, and clouds.

No matter how many millions of bad reviews the Dragonball movie receives, I'm still going to see it in theaters.

    Transformers 2 Wraps
Principle photography on Revenge of the Fallen ends.
    by Brian Linder

November 3, 2008 - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the continuing big-screen battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons, won't hit theaters until June 26, 2009, but the Michael Bay-directed blockbuster has already finished filming.

Bay's spokesperson has updated the filmmaker's official website with a quick blurb to let fans know that the flick has wrapped.

"As of this week, principal photography for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has ended," he writes. "Congrats to Michael and his team."

Not much is know about the upcoming FX-heavy actioner, except that the movie takes the giant robot action global -- the last round of location shooting took place at the pyramids in Egypt.

Sweet. More Transformers is always good.

In other news, I'm writing a paper on American Psycho for my Abnormal Psychology class.
I love Christian Bale in just about anything, but dayum this is one fucked up movie.

We watched Hellboy 2 and Get Smart this weekend. Both were flat and left me listless.

I am really glad I don't pay to see movies in the theater anymore. The 2 bucks for a rental was hard to justify on those two.

You're the first person I hear of that didn't like Hellboy , Matt. Was there something in specific you didn't like? Or did you pretty much hate it as a collective whole?

Feev, I'm surprised you haven't seen Casino Royale yet. Must have slipped through the cracks.

You should try to watch it when you get the chance. It's pretty good. I'm not even that huge into Bond and I thought it was great.

My dad got me into Bond when I was like 10. I loved the Sean Connery films, then I kind of got bored with them. I don't think I even saw any of the Pierce Brosnan ones.

Hubby and I rented "Son of Rambow" this past weekend.

    It was adorable.

I saw Zach and Miri Make A Porno the other day.

First let me say that I'm tired of old people going to see movies they have no business seeing. Just because you get in with a senior discount, doesn't mean you should see any old movie.

I hate sitting there feeling uncomfortable whenever somebody says fuck, or (god forbid) we see a naked ass. Needless to say, they got up and walked out after 10 minutes.

After they left, I was able to enjoy the movie. Some vintage Kevin Smith stuff. Seth Rogen at the top of his game and Elisabeth Banks continues to show her all around talent as an actress.

Bottom line: If you have to pay for coffee at McDonalds, you will like this movie.

Jean, I wanted to let you know that I watched The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie the other night. I really enjoyed it. It was an interesting film to say the least. Thank you for recommending it. And I'm definitely going to check out some more that you listed.

Another film I saw recently was the The Man Who Laughs. Great silent film. Brice have you seen this one yet? If not I'd recommend you check it out, I think you'd enjoy it.
