That was great. But there are two parts that I don't remember being in any film. When Luke is looking up at the sky in very beginning of that video and at around :45 sec when the guy says he is going to join the rebellion and the a few seconds later Luke says yea, meanwhile I am stuck here. I have watched all versions of the the films. And I the original unaltered cuts of the first three movies and I do not remember those parts at all. But it was neat. I hope the last one of this trilogy is really good. But I know that the stand alone movies are in trouble because of Solo. But I am a big Starwars fan.

Sorry to hear that. I enjoyed Solo and Rogue One might just be the best SW movie, outside of Empire.

I liked them both but I liked Rogue one more than I liked Solo. I agree that Rogue one is a really great Starwars movie.

Can anyone answer this for me? Please. I honestly don't remember them being in the original movies or the Lucas re-done movies. But they are great little parts.

Doesn't he say this to his uncle Owen in Episode IV? Owen is telling him about the brave Rebels and Luke moans about him being stuck in a backwater planet.

I think it’s on the LaserDisc versions. Last Star Wars media before the Special Editions that rereleased in theatres

There was a deleted scene between Luke and Biggs outside a cantina (not the mos eisley cantina) early in Ep IV. It was to be our introduction to Luke - he sees the battle between Vader's and Leia's ships from Tatooine's surface, goes to the cantina to tell his friends, meets Biggs who tells him that he (Biggs) has joined the rebellion as a pilot. This scene sounds like part of that conversation.

These scenes were cut because they pretty much stopped the movie dead for too long, at a point where Leias capture and the droids' escape needed to develop. Much of what was revealed in them could be inferred equally well from later scenes. So, out it went.

I’m kinda surprised the conversation has turned to Episode 4 deleted scenes on the day they dropped the Episode 9 trailer. I would’ve expected a bigger reaction, weird. Is no one excited for Star Wars anymore?

I'll definitely watch it but at this point its almost impossible to fulftill the true potential of what this trilogy could have been.

Episode 7 was a remake of Episode 4.
Episode 8 went rogue in a lot of creative branches.

And now it looks like Episode 9 is going to retcon Episode 8 in some ways (surprise surprise, looks like Rey IS a Skywalker after all! I'm shocked)

They're going to bring back old characters to bank on nostalgia or whatever and pass it off under the pretense of closing up the narrative circle.

I think the Marvel Universe has long passed the Star Wars universe as the premiere sci fi story franchise.
