Netflix to Release The Hateful Eight as Mini-series
It's only about 23 minutes longer than the Roadshow version (and even shorter once you factor into the ~3-5 minutes of credits at the end of each episode). It would've been cool to see alternate stories set in The Hateful Eight "universe", so to speak, but this just feels like cutting up the movie into 4 pieces and repackaging it to trick Netflix users into thinking they're seeing something new.
A NEW GAME BEGINS
Odd. I wouldn't have thought that movie lent itself to this treatment very well, either. Granted, there's the flashback post-Intermission, but still.

I read that they will be releasing the film in 70mm in certain locations. I only have one true IMAX theater near me, so I'm hoping they get it.
I almost saw Dunkirk there a few years back, but they lost power.

In what is easily the greatest calendar episode to date, Elric, Phil, Jules and Brian are joined by the man himself - Quentin Tarantino (!!) - to discuss his New Beverly programming choices for the month of July and how they tie into his upcoming new film ONCE UPON A TIME... IN HOLLYWOOD (which opens in theaters on July 26th). This one is not to be missed!!
Just got tickets for Sat night, can't wait!
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
I've got to wait a week or so before I can see it. I've waited like 3 years...what's another few weeks?

I'll probably catch it next week on Tuesday (cheaper tickets!)
Let us know how you like it Heather.
After seeing these posts I went and got a ticket for tomorrow night.
Seeing it Saturday at noon (yay for matinee prices!).
Loved it in many ways, for many reasons.
Just came back from seeing it and I'm not sure about it. I liked a lot of it but some parts felt like Tarantino over-indulging in his own quirky style and minutia. I was worried about the Manson Family subplot but thankfully it was actually handled in an interesting way, I thought, and organic to the story.
