Just seen it. Ho. Ly. Crap! That trailer was way more awesome than i was expecting! (After hearing it didn't contain any actual footage from the anniversary story itself, anyway.)

That's what I was trying to ask you several weeks ago. I know the IDW comic has flirted with Time War revelations. (http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/08/...tor-who-comic/) Guessing it all remains rather cryptic: plenty of room to involve Hurt. I'm quite excited to see what's in store Nov. 23rd. Plus, I just got the 11th Doctor version of the AITAS game. (W00T! W00T!)
yes you can tell it is a wig...lol... the hairdresser in me could see it right away...lol
You know what's even better - like, WAY better than the release of that awesome trailer?
A whole month before the 50th, The Light at the End has been released! 5 Doctors against the Master! Fuck yes! I know what I'm listening to tonight!

Really like that Eight's new look is included in that mashup. Can't wait for his story to continue in Dark Eyes 2 next year!

Pretty cool.
Not that I own... any... audio. Maybe by then. First, paying cable for "Day of the Doctor" -- so psyched, yaknow!
Dark Eyes 1 is a pretty good jumping on point, Mike. Essentially the start of a brand new era for the Eighth Doctor. In some ways, it does continue off the final season of the previous series of the Eighth Doctor Adventures with Lucie Miller that ended with the epic To The Death, but apart from the Doctor being in a really bad place at the start of DE, there's nothing you need to know.
Alternatively, there's Blood of the Daleks parts 1 and 2, when Eight and Lucie first meet. That series was brilliant actually, in that it started out as a mixture of the characters and monsters of the classic series with the faster paced, more epic storytelling of the new series, before heading into darker territory with its final season.
For a standalone story though (and for another way of celebrating the 50th), The Light at the End is fucking brilliant! First 8 Doctors in one story (with the latter 5 played by the original actors): brilliant! As for the TV special: ordered tickets for the cinema showing this week! Squee! Only 21 days to go!

I have no words to describe the awesomeness of this link other than the title itself:

Again, you've gotta feel so sorry for how much stuff gets leaked before the BBC has a chance to show it! At this rate, the 50th anniversary special itself will get leaked before the actual day itself! (Which considering that's exactly what happened with the first episode of the Eccleston series whole weeks before the TV premiere, isn't that unbelievable, unfortunately.) Gotta admit though, I did watch it, and OMGOMGOMGOMG! Just...SQUEE! Really can't wait to see this at the cinema!
As for that article: beautiful, isn't it? I really appreciate the date of the article, as well.

there is a 40 second trailer online now!
And another trailer just broadcast on BBC One, surprisingly not the same as the leaked one. Holy crap, did it give me chills!
Spoiler:
Just 2 weeks to go!
(In the meantime - here's all I've got left in my ongoing Who watch that started 3 years ago:
2 seasons of Doctor Who
2 seasons of Sarah Jane Adventures (most of which I hadn't seen before, so this is really great)
1 season of Torchwood (I'm hoping that Miracle Day will grow on me more as a complete story rather than watch it one week at a time)
