Showing tonight @ 21:00 GMT BBC2 - "An adventure in Space and Time"
"Drama: How Doctor Who was bought to the screen in 1963 by a young female producer frustrated with TV's glass-ceiling and an actor unhappy with a long career of hard-man roles."
Stars David Bradley as William Hartnell
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
its about the struggle to get doctor who made, aired and the whole struggle behind the scenes
So looking forward to it. They really found the perfect actor to play Hartnell. In the meantime, watching the Science of Doctor Who with Brian Cox.

i'm watching doctor who at the proms and peter Davidson's introduce a series of clips of the first 26 years
it should also tell the story behind how they got him for The Five Doctors
Apparently there was a deleted scene featuring Mark Gatiss as Jon Pertwee in The Three Doctors, the last story Hartnell filmed before he died. But I can see why they deleted it. How it ended was so incredibly touching, although I'm eager to check out the scene once it's out on Blu-ray.

i liked the cameo, but i thought it would have been better if the rest would have appeared during the cameo
it would be nice to see an eighth doctor tv series or do it as a web series
saw this and thought Game of Who?
Does whatever a spiderman does.
Just about to head off to see it on the big screen. SQUEE!

It's Christmas, it's Christmas!
So is this just a special episode or beginning of new season?
Hopes were high, and I believe this surpassed them. Amazing, really: it is hard to believe that I feel so satisfied at the same time that I have even more anticipation for future shows.
same here and did everyone spot the twelfth?
