What better way than to lie and say Im selling stuff, collect the money via paypal gift, then high-tail it to the nearest plastic surgeon and never ship any books?

This sucks I've been buying off members for years and I've never had a problem. I'd hate to see a bad egg ruin the perfectly smooth dealings we've had in the past.

I also thought he would be trustworthy as a member since 2010. My own fault sure, but I am still out $314 Canadian and am pissed off. I know that I will be wary of doing business this way in the future as much as I would like to think otherwise. It would appear that I was the biggest loser in this whole mess but would still be pissed if my loss was $10. The way I look at it is I am going to have to get great deals on the next several items I buy just to "break even". I will probably take a break from purchasing anything for the foreseeable future to lick my wounds and maybe the break will end with me going The Shannon route and quitting altogether. This whole experience has left a really bad taste in my mouth about collecting and I am really not sure when it will return to being the "sweet" taste that kept me seeking out the pieces to fill the holes. If this happened on eBay I really don't think I would be having such a severe reaction but it happening here really has a feeling of violation attached to it. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.

Hey dont let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch Brad. This guy is an asshole at best and it is worse that he was a member and took advantage of members, but thankfully he is not in the majority. Not sure how long you've been collecting but Im sure youve made a few good deals - maybe sold something at a decent profit or picked up something way below market value. Unfortunately this (and the occasional forged signature, or book arrived damaged ARG) is par for the course. You live, learn and move on. Theres some good deals out there waiting to be had and I think it would be a shame to give Humping Stevo the satisfaction of knowing he's ruined your collecting bug.

Wow!! This really sucks. I generally feel very comfortable with transactions occurring through this site. As mentioned above, shame to have that record tarnished. However, from what I can see it's been two weeks since anyone had contact with him. Perhaps, something went wrong in his life and he is addressing it. He seemed like a nice guy and frequented other threads than "selling" one's as I recall.

I hope things work out for you guys!!!
