GoFundMe for my pet cat, Selina

Hi Everyone,

My pet cat, Selina, has recently developed megacolon and will require surgery. My brother and I recently started a Go Fund Me for her.

We've taken her to a few different places and the costs of the consultations + the latest estimation in terms of the actual surgery is beyond my financial scope at the moment. We briefly thought about having her euthanized because of the heavy financial burden but we rescued her off the street and honestly can't bare the thought of losing her as she's become an important part our household.

I am a prideful person so it has been difficult for me to reach out for help, yet I am humbly asking for any help you might be able to provide, either by contributing or sharing the link which you can find below. I will leave the thread open for a couple of weeks.

Bummer dude. Our cat Oy had to have stones removed from his bladder, kidney and his urethra widened recently. We got this info when we both had covid and were so sick. It was like, hey your cat will die in an hour or so if you don't pony up. Hard to say no to that, so I get it. Will help when I can.

Hi everyone. An update:

Once again, thank you all for your good thoughts and donations!

I'm happy to report that her surgery a few days ago went well and she is currently at home recovering. They were able to remove the megacolon with little to no complications. She has stitches and will have to the wear the cone for about a month or two so she won't pick at them. Follow up appointment in 3 weeks.

She's going to have to be on a very strict diet probably for a while and she'll have little control over her poop, but he expects her intestine to 'correct' itself over the course of the next few weeks. She's skinny and frail right now but she has shown hunger, something that she wasn't showing in the days leading to the surgery, which is good. Doc said she'll slowly regain her mobility over time and will thankfully live a normal-ish cat life!

I'll post pictures of her this week so you can all see her. I'll close the thread once I do.
