That being said, Eddie literally MADE the series for me. His jokes, his take on things, even his growing desire for the tower.
The Dark Tower series was so much better because of Eddie. I liked Cuthbert too though.

I exclude the bad things he's done, it's more his nobility. It's hard to explain for me but he had this way of getting around things in very cunning ways, and the wheels were always turning in his head, so when something difficult comes up I think WWRD? And I take a step back and assess the situation better.

I chose Eddie. I just adore him. He went from a single minded junkie to a hero who fought, loved and died all honorably.

Its those underdog stories that always get me, the reason I hope for Robert Downey Jr to get an oscar, the reason I always fall in love with the runt of the litter, the reason I call Lance Armstrong a hero. People who overcome horrible things and go on to try to lead better, stronger, more impactful lives. Those are the ones I love!

Of course, Oy holds a special place in my heart, as every animal in any story always does (except maybe Cujo!). The loyal, unconditional love of a good animal is something I can't help but get all mushy over.
