Hi all,
Would like to ask a huge favor from a member in the UK; I need help securing a book. No searching, just purchasing and shipping it to me - the seller won't ship to the U.S. I could shoot you a f&f paypal payment immediately for the cost of the book and any shipping costs.
Please PM me, and I'll give the details. Would be forever in your debt....or at least, you know, for a while.
Is anyone familiar with the publisher Foruli? I was extremely excited to see that they will be publishing an S/L of Alastair Reynolds's Revelation Space, but my excitement was quickly tempered by a combination of the limitation and the price. It all depends on the materials, but for now, I am deflated.
I have LUCIFER'S LOTTERY ARC, S/L and lettered for sale if you're interested. Frankly, I found the book repugnant.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...

Dig it. They also have The Great Gatsby. All look very well done. Neat edition.

It's a is the entire text a reproduction of the original manuscript? I dont know how easy that would be to read, but it's a really neat idea.
I ordered the set and I have to say that they are very nice! You can tell that Marko (the proprietor of the press) spent a lot of time thinking about this project, and it shows. The slipcase is especially neat - it has claw marks. The art in the book is double-sided, with one page showing one angle of the events and the rear page showing a different angle. There are also easter eggs hidden in the book and case - something I have not seen before.
Also, they seem to be really into "eco-friendly" books in Croatia - there is another publisher that does Croatian language books (Mitopeja) and they both source sustainable materials (no idea what that means). Apparently the pages in the Amaranthine books are wood-free - they have a great smooth feel and they are very thick.
The books aren't cheap but they are definitely the coolest editions of this book that I own (save maybe the Centipede Press deluxe version) and I think they will be a press worth watching...
So some wires got crossed but here is what I was actually trying to post:

Does anyone have a line to a signed copy of The Shape of Water? I found the ones signed by the artist but that's not good enough.
