Ruined book. Can't believe someone bid $455 on it:
Stephen King The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger True First Edition 1st Printing 1982
I can't believe these haven't been snatched up yet....
STEPHEN KING SLEEPING BEAUTIES BOTH INTER-OFFICE PROOFS. VERY LIMITED AND RARE.
Neither can I-so rare and I actually paid over that amount for them!
Pretty shocked due to the rarity....
If I'd collect proofs, I'd be all over them: really liked the book!
Good luck on your sale!!
sk
I keep seeing them, but cant pull the trigger. I DID NOT LIKE THE STORY. Yet i keep going back to it and analyzing what they could of done. so maybe i find it intriguing just not executed in the way that i found satisfying? Its an enigma to me.
i just bought a regular arc of Sleeping Beauties for $175 and waiting for it in the mail. Mainly to replace my slightly damaged copy.
I don't think so, I've sold a number of proofs in the last 6 weeks to people outside of Ebay for high dollars.
Like I said before, I'm starting to sell certain items.
I've listed a few manuscripts recently. Some rare ones.
$980 BIN
Looks pretty damn nice:
Stephen King The Gunslinger, As New 1st Ed. with Advanced Order Card "As Issued"
One bid, $7.99:
CASTLE SCHLOCK "The Stephen King Parody Newsletter" 1989
Re: the Sleeping Beauties proofs - I know I am in the minority but when I still collected proofs I was only interested in proofs for King's regular novels as issued by the original publisher (Doubleday, Viking, Putnam, Scribner, ...). I never cared a bit for CD proofs. Yes they are scarce but that does not mean that they are valuable (to me at least). The fact that CD actively releases their proofs onto the collecting market also makes them less interesting to me.

BLEMISHED Funko Pop! Pennywise With Wig #474 Walmart Exclusive Stephen King IT
Not sure why they didn't picture the blemish(s).
Funny how that works, eh? It's always nice to see that there's such a variety in collecting 'taste' - even when we're all collecting the same author. Personally, whenever I see a glossy CD proof of a reprinted title sell for more than, say, a Putnam Skeleton Crew proof that's equally scarce and > 30 years old, I really don't get how that is even possible. But to each their own! :-)
