    I just heard from the person who got the item on ABE and he is a member here. I'll let him break the news if he wishes. It was a fantastic buy and I am still a little pissed that I decided to take a nap this afternoon. Damn!

    I disagree. There hasn't been a copy of this on the market for awhile.

    I have just checked Betts, Abebooks and Veryfinebooks and none of these currently have a copy for sale. Interestingly, veryfinebooks has a copy of the Lettered Sub Press edition of The Shining for $4,000, which is also 1/52.

    IMHO The Lettered Edition of IT is much nicer than the Lettered copy of The Shining. Additionally, only a very small amount of PC copies for the Lettered IT were made...

    I think $3,000 is a very reasonable starting price for this book!

    I think $3000 is not that far off either. I have the book (letter Y) and it is breathtaking in every way. Also... I find things go for more (in most cases) on Ebay than here or Bett's. I bet they sell it at the $3k mark.

    I wanted the promo book, but not that copy of MPP. I already have one and in better shape, and although I usually do things like buy something just to get something else that comes with it, I wasn't willing to on this one. So I asked the seller if they'd sell the promo booklet separately and they agreed.
