Hi All,
I have one of these lettered Billy Blockades, the portfolio slides under the book at the hinge of the traycase and is tied with a ribbon and bow. The ribbon's bow is in the centre of the photo so I would say a portfolio is included.

Nor did I.
I see... "This listing was ended by the seller because the item was lost or broken." Hmm?
Yeah I saw the portfolio right off the bat as that seems to be my weird little niche I like. I figure it will get relisted at a much higher price and probably won't sell. Just a guess though.
Damn. Could've gotten a great deal! Alex is a great guy though, so if he wants to try to get a higher return for this, I hope he gets it

I'm glad the seller is being honest by saying it's a copy of a copy.
If you want to see what an official copy looks like go to thread #427 and scroll down to read about it here:

This is a great thread! I am a novice so this helps with purchasing. I've bought a couple of things you guys have listed here.
Another thing that it's mighty helpful is to become familiar with the various publishers. I bought a book that was for sale in the Classifieds section a while back. I bought it at what I felt was a fair price but later I learned that the book was still available directly from the publisher for $35 less than what I had already paid. Lesson learned. LOL
Well that is an example that does not sit well with what I said but you are right... I have found better deals from say Bett's than a memeber... I try and be as fair as I can to a memeber. I sold a Doctor Sleep for cover price to help someone out and they were going for $200 over. Helped him out some well though and he tried to help me later on return the favor I will never forget it

If I was a new King collector the first thing I'd do is go to Grant and buy everything they've still got in stock. Some of which I would say is still in stock more due to lack of marketing than lack of desirability, though also some of their stuff also has probably higher print runs for GEs/AEs than others.
Desperation GE: $75
DTVII AE and Talisman/Black House GE (signed by Straub and Berry but not King of course): $165
TWTTK: $75
Some seriously beautiful books for very reasonable prices.
I can attest to the please of collecting Grant books. It's fun, fairly affordable as long as you stay away from Stephen King, and collecting every book they've published might actually be an attainable goal.
