I'm not so sure it's Ex-Library. There seems to be no indication of stamps or the usual UK Library coverings or spine labels for categorisation. I agree its over priced though. If I didn't already have a nice 1st/1st I'd consider between $800-$900 for this. 2k would be for a really fine example.

This is a $400 book.... and yes $2K would be a VERY nice copy.I'm not so sure it's Ex-Library. Just out of curiosity - why is everyone so adamantly opposed to a price clipped copy of this particular book? I (like everyone I think) prefer non-price clipped, of course, but I've now heard three people say that they wouldn't even consider a copy of the UK Carrie 1st if it was price clipped.Nor I... but it was a nice copy otherwise. I think that was a $500 copy. I was asked a couple times.. this is a $400 max IMHO.
I know that for a lot of books it can mean that someone is trying to pass off a BCE or non-1st state dustjacket, but isn't this the only copy of UK Carrie? So there's no such thing as a BCE UK Carrie jacket?
