I think the case Tina is similar but is not the same one. I believe the original has a red leather patch with gold foil stamping.

The company that designed the stainless case actually produced and sold the custom traycases for the MPP.

I think she (Tina) got the book and traycase from Roy Robbins. Many years ago Roy commissioned four traycases from someone in the LA area. Iowabob, Roy, Rand Torman and I all paid (I think) $200 each for them. They are quite a bit different from the ones sold by the Whitney Museum.

If either of you, Dave or Bob, would like to post photos of the two different traycases, I'd be interested in seeing them - and their differences.

I only have one that is similar to Tina's being auctioned on eBay and not the one sold by the Whitney Museum.

I have "Carrie" in the red leather edition available for $28 shipped.

They are basically really nice book club editions. Published by the "Stephen King Library", which was a book club for King books. Some are made from 1st edition text blocks. Some are common, some are rare. They are an interesting subset of King collecting.

I did a quick google search and only thing I found was on Very Fine Books website that said the same thing you said. I was just wondering how many books are in the series and if they are making any more. I never heard of it before and it sounded interesting. Wondered if the one on Ebay was the whole set or not.

If you are patient enough, you can find most on eBay for under $10 each. Some people are idiots and try to charge upwards of $50 each, but searching the exact same book from the set with usually find you one for under $10.

True, but unless you looked farther than the listing title, you would not have known it was the S/L.
