Starting at $3,500 is too rich for my blood.

This is probably why I don't go out there.

That would definitly be something cool to have, but like you said, far to pricey
Here is a hard to find Gunslinger 88 print.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Stephen-King-Mic...QQcmdZViewItem
My copy of this print has a much darker looking background color than the auction picture indicates. Anyone else that has a copy is yours light like the auction picture, or darker?
I have wanted that print for years! I've tried searching around for time to time, without success. Thank you so much for posting that link.
What price do these usually go for? Seriously, I don't know much about bidding on Stephen King items on ebay, so i'm not sure about what is a rip-off or not. But really, i'm considering bidding on this.
I am Daenerys Stormborn and I will take what is mine. With fire and blood.
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Where are they "numbered"??? Is it on the back of the frame, on the back of the picture, etc.???
Edit. Never mind, it must usually be where this one has AP for Artist Proof. Am I correct?
Mine has a white border and it is numbered and signed in pencil beneath the image on the white border.
This print may have a couple of states. It has been a long time since I bought this but I think Audrey told me there were two different manufacturers (I know that's the wrong word but...). Maybe two different styles of paper too.
Bob-
You are right as usual. There are two different states of this print. The earliest state (100 copies) was done with Michael signing and numbering directly on the print itself (in the bottom left corner). The second state (395 copies) is numbered in the white border on the bottom left with Michael's sig in the white border on the bottom right. I only know this because Shibus contacted me this summer asking about the difference and I asked Audrey. Here are some pictures to clear it all up:
1st state of 100:
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
And the second more common state (state which I own, but my number is 217):
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Michael's sig on the bottom right:
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Dang!
I really need some of this stuff for my office. I think I might get an expensive present with our bonus' this year.

So, this looks like an Artists Copy of the first state. Either that or I'm totally confused (always possible!!!).
Thanks for all the information guys, I appreciate it.
I've wanted this print for years and my boyfriend told me to go ahead and bid on it. If I win, it will be my birthday present.
*edit* I'm the current highest bidder, although i'm sure not for long. I'm freefallin182. I'm going to keep an eye on it.

Dreaming - If I only had some spare cash! Probably don't though - woke up this morning and it was 50 degrees inteh house - Yikes! Wating on a furnace guy right now - BUT I really already know what he is gonna say - this furnace /heat pump has given its all for almost 25 years! time to put her to sleep and upgrade to the 2008 model! That will pretty much expire my discretionary funds! :-(
But I can always dream!
