My roommates asked for ideas for what to get me for Christmas, i suggested that shiny little book as an acceptable present.

I thought ABE and "CUJO's CORNER" were bad!!!!!

What would the Lettered Firestater be priced at on Camelot? $100,000 US?

Trades are too much but they had a S/L of The Stand for $1400. All the better deals are gone, today is the 3rd day of their sale.

Here's what's left. I don't think most of these books are overpriced:

    Signed Limiteds
From a Buick 8 some indentions to front of case $300.00
Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon Little Simon 2004 $800.00

    Dark Tower Grant Trade Editions
    The Wastelands in shrinkwrap $50.00
Wizard and Glass fine $100.00 in Shrinkwrap $120.00
Wolves of the Call Artist in Shrinkwrap $120.00
Song of Susannah Artist in Shrinkwrap $100.00
The Dark Tower Artist in Shrinkwrap $60.00

    Miscellaneous Gift and Trade Editions
    Desperation Gift $48.00
    Insomnia Gift $48.00
Salem's Lot Gift Edition in shrinkwrap $140.00
Cycle of the Werewolf Trade (beautiful copy, no spotting in custom slipcase) The Land of Enchantment 1983 $240.00
    Bachman Books NAL 1985 NF$140.00
Danse Macabre signed Everest 1981 Book NF Jacket Good $300.00

I thought that $1,000 for the numbered Firestarter they sold wasn't too bad. And I didn't think the Publisher's Copy of The Plant Part II that I got was very overpriced at $500, either.

Maybe I looked in the wrong place (or perhaps the wrong website).

    I saw a Desperation S/L for $450, S/L FBA8 PC copy for $600.00, Wolves Artist Edition for $225......

    Perhaps I am CLUELESS.

    Wouldn't be the first time.....

GIVE ME A LINK! I may want that GWLTG S/L!

Just started collecting King and had to start off small. Bought the s/l of Bag of Bones in slipcase for $185.00 from Camelot. It's my first signed King. Tried ordering 11/22/63 for two hours t Simon &Schusters website when it initially went up for sale and nearly lost my mind because of the website issues and then lost out on the lottery. Also may be getting that From A Buick 8 S/L from Camelot after I look at some pics from Kim.

    Welcome mistercrowley! Post often!!!

If you ever need an opininon as to the value of a King item, this is the place to ask...

For example, you shouldn't pay more than $330.00 - $350.00 for a #'d S/L From A Buick 8 (based on CURRENT market value). In most circles, "PC" copies are worth even less than that.....

Hello Mr. Crowley and welcome. You know me under a different name on horrordrive-in.com

Check with CD if they still have replacement traycases for FBA8. You could still walk away with a decent deal even if you have to buy one.

Thanks a lot folks. I've been registered for less than an hour and I already love it here. Now a quick question...what's the value of a signed deluxe edition of The Little Sisters of Eluria? I really really really really want a signed Wind Thrpugh The Keyhole but looks like the only way to do that is to get Little Sisters in numbers 1 thru 800.

Paul Miller at Earthling Publications just found some more copies of BEST NEW HORROR deluxe edition (signed by King)
    Selling them at issue price.

    From his email:

"Also, I found that I still have a few copies of the deluxe edition of BEST NEW HORROR, signed by King, Ellison, Barker, Gaiman, Hill, Straub and over a dozen others, oversized and slipcased. Please first email me if you're interested in a copy ($250), don't send payment right away as someone else may have beaten you to the book."

    His email is earthlingpub@yahoo.com

Yeah i initially thought all the UK editions came with one but i'm a newbie at this and when i did alittle more research found out otherwise. I know its one of the least impressive S/L editions but i needed to start somewhere and wanted to kind of ease myself into it with something that wouldn't automatically drain my bank account. I'm looking at getting the Artists editions of Wolves of the Calla, Song of Susannah, Dark Tower (volume 7) and Little Sisters of Eluria. Do you think they are worth the investment? The most expensive of them is only $100.00. Should i go for it or maybe wait and try and find them a bit cheaper? I'm realizing that with King though, his books tend to go up in value where as most authors in the small press (where i started collecting) tend to go down.

I don't think King AEs will drastically change in value. They're nicely done books and if you get slipcases from Grant or The Collector they can look really presentable. These from Camelot are a little higher than what you can find them for but they are brand new. You'd probably save a few bucks if you got them all from the same seller as opposed to 3 separate packages. Also, Grant had the slipcased edition of Talisman/Black House for $150. They had some deal when you buy that edition, you get the AE of DT7 for $10 or so. Def. a good deal. Check out Grant's website if you're interested.

    edit: here's the link, scroll down a bit. Talisman/Black House + DT 7 AE for $165+ S&H. https://secure.grantbooks.com/z-sk-dt-7.html
