I want a copy and was prepared to borrow, pillage and rob to get one. However, now that I see how close I am to completing a part of my collecting... that has become more important and my focus now. Will I have this book? I would say yes.... it is the most amazing book I have ever seen or held in my hand.

Just buy it. It seems to be perfect.
You could always (why?) sell it later. It's a bucket list item.
    Do it!

You guys will probably think I'm nuts but I dislike the whole bullets through the book thing. I didn't think the story was all that great either. The coolest thing to me about those editions is who and what the checks are made out for.

My least favorite King story too! I actually liked dreamcatcher. Frogs Buick 8. Liseys story etc.... I even liked desperation. But regulators was just. Weird? Childish? Derivative. Predictable? Not sure how to describe it

I liked Regulators and Desperation as stories, but I've really got a thing for that Lettered edition. Ever since it was announced, I've wanted a copy. Someday I will have one.

I think we are all nuts for many different reasons. We all have are quirky likes and dislikes when it comes to what we collect but that what makes seeing other’s collection so fun.

I do have a suggestion for you; should try and fine a copy of the prototype for the Lettered Regulators. It only has three bullets so you won’t be as offended by them.

Thanks, saw that. Nice one! There are so many illustrations from David's long career. Over 50 will be reproduced in the bio I have coming out.

That's a shame - the description even says signed by Stephen king although they posted picture of back that stated facsimile - guess no one bothered to take a close look at the picture...

This auction walks a thin line so I didn't put it in our Ebay BS thread:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Signed-Gwend...%257Ciid%253A1

He is calling the card a reproduction. I confirmed with him they are copies printed and not the real thing. He is saying "reproduction" in the auction, but just beware it's not a real signature.

Not sure I think this is a very nice thing to do.

For some of our new members here, the original card has a real King signature on it. Don't fall for this thinking you're getting a real pen signature on that card. It nothing more than a facsimile signature now.

    UPDATE:

    Seller just responded with this:

"We received several of these in a large collection we purchased, but they appear to be reproductions, not originals."

I messaged the seller to inform him of his mistake and he responded with apparent genuine concern, stating he "was new at this" (?). I advised him of how to update his listing once a bid was placed, and I also suggested he advise the bidder to avoid problems down the road.

Yep - I messaged as well - so they heard it from a few of us - seemed very genuine. I too mentioned reaching out to bidder or cancelling auction due to incorrect listing (although not sure if that can be done after a bid is placed).

Haha... DT police - keeping people honest.

Yes, I also suggested shut the auction down and delist (it can be done after a bid has been made), but seems he's worked out how to amend the original listing.

It's the DT smack down. Keeping eBay sellers honest, unless they're a total scumbag.

That's a shame - the description even says signed by Stephen king although they posted picture of back that stated facsimile - guess no one bothered to take a close look at the picture...
He's actually revised the listing to say that it's a facsimile signature. I'm sure the bidder will either retract their bid or be gutted
Me too. I even pointed out that it says so on the back of the dustjacket.

Legit signature IMO, but seller is not highly regarded by everyone here.
