Another head scratcher of a sale on eBay. Someone got a great deal. This ended a couple of days ago. Hope someone here got it. Signed 1st Salem's Lot with Father Cody error and provenance, Bett's Bookstore signing ticket from 1998.

This was a bogus deal, unfortunately. Bought this book. Seller cancelled the sale two days later.

That sucks. Sorry to hear. That really would have been an awesome deal. You wonder if this seller will re-list at a higher price or ended up doing a deal off of eBay.

I have an ebay search for "Stephen King" + "lettered".


Ironically this did not show up in my email, but it was listed in the "Similar items you may be interested in" section of the email.


EDIT: I am not seeing it in a direct search, maybe it is because it is a UK item. It is also not specified if it will ship to US.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks this is an overpriced boring edition.

If it was signed by King I could understand but, really ??
Typical CD vinyl, I'm guessing printing is offset on ok "ish" paper, no leather.
The shiny blue cloth looks ok, but not $1000+ ok
But each to their own.. (still scratching head)

Although it's a nice looking book with original remarques but totally agree that it is overpriced without King's signature. My humble 2 cents opinion.

I'm on the fence about the latest effort to make money off the King name, but I'm impressed with the craftsmanship and production. I'm also a supporter of the Innocence Project. So, I guess I'll take a chance at one or the other. Good luck to anyone who enters. I just hope the winners are real collectors and not just speculators.
