What is the opinion of the members here? Is the $4K Buy It Now price too high? If so, what do you think it should be?

Max price based on recent copies sold should be $2,500 - $3,000. No more than issue price.

Those are just the last documented sales prices from Betts and eBay. David sold a matching set for $2,500 last year and Matt (Lot Guy) picked up a set for $2,000 direct from a bookseller early last year (can't recall who)....

I paid about $2500 give or take for mine. I think the right price for these is $3000 or slightly less. Seller is known to me on Facebook sales groups.

Possibly. It depends on what mood the bitchy little titty-baby is in today. But I can't see anything too derogatory in the above post. Is there?

I'm surprised they don't sell for more too, as they are certainly one of the nicest editions I have seen CD produce. I particularly like that these books were published in a 9 x 12 size.

If I had the money, I would instantly purchase a matching Lettered set, as that is definitely one all-the-Chadbourne-you-can-eat buffets I would like in my collection!

Sadly, I have nowhere near the kind of money needed for such a set.....

I think that numbering the books was the last step in the process before they were sent out.

i can more or less confirm that the books where numbered after the remarques where done.
I personally own one of the few suspicious once, and it did not even make it up to the process of numbering. It left Grant even un-numbered. For me thats a hint that it was somehow removed from the processing.

This is really interesting. I didn't know anything about it until I joined this site. It stinks. Surely there is some kind of control system in place to ensure some integrity? An un numbered one seems pretty sus doesn't it? Pretty much fraud isn't it? Advertising the opportunity and reneging? I would however, love to see the Remarque?

oh, this dept has been paid IMHO - you find a lot on this buried deep on tdt.org, including statements from involved persons - it didn't took me long to find those pages - but i can't remember what i searched for exactly - ,but i guess its still somehow easy to find.

I am often unable to give positive rep because I haven't "spread it around" enough. I assume I couldn't give negative rep repeatedly.
