I grabbed the Cell manuscript.
John
That was quick!
I'm not sure I'd call that a manuscript. Page proofs, rather, or an unbound proof.
Congratulations John !
I had a chance to buy that "manuscript" 6 months ago but he was asking $1000 for it .
I think $500 is a more reasonable price .
Congratulations John. I saw that last night when it was first listed. Just wasn't sure what it was. Nice item.
Congratulations John!
Nice score John, well done mate
We all float down here!
If only I hadn't just spent $500 on hoo-uh, hook rug making lessons! Darn it! Nice purchase John!

Good Job John... saved me $500.... I Still do not have a Cell proof of any sort.
Nice grab, John! Congrats!
reality continues to ruin my life
No idea if anyone here collects Audio books on Cassette, but here is a complete Four Past Midnight Set if anyone interested:

I wish I had that persons lettered lifetime membership.
Some of you may have seen this already: first edition/printing of The Stand.

I would have seriously considered buying that lettered IT if the cover had not been opened so far. But at the same time I can't help being irked that someone bought the book just to sell it for a profit (assuming of course that his or her financial situation is not forcing him/her to do that) when I tried SO HARD to get one the day it was put up for sale. Time to take a Xanax, gotta go!
An aside - it's a free country and I also respect the right of someone to buy low and sell high - but I still need that tranq!

I bought a Lettered copy...I have "V" and it is a wonderful presentation. At the same time I own a matching number S/L and Portfolio which I really love.
Someone could talk me out of my Lettered copy I think. Offer me $2100 + S/H I think would do it. I could use the cash frankly, I've bought WAY too much stuff for my personal collection lately! One of the perks of being Caretaker at Betts!
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
I have the lettered "It" - but I haven't opened the shipping box yet, so I don't know what the Letter is... lifetime memberships don't include Lettered editions, at least mine doesn't - (and at the time I bought mymembership about 11 years ago, I don't think any Lettered Lifetime memberships existed, don't know if they do now)
we lifetimers have to buy the Lettered editions at the same price and through the same channels as any one else does.... (though previous buyers of lettered editions do tend to get early notice).
That said, I would consider selling my Lettered "It" in it's unopened shipping box.... but not sure I would sale mine for for what david is selling his for - maybe 2500.00 plus shipping though..... needless to say- it's exactly as received from CD.
Note: only reason I'd consider selling it is because I'm about to be laid off from work.... wait a year and it I might sale it for less... or I might have a new job and decide not to sale it at all.<= preferred option
BTW Joe - those lifetime memberships weren't "given" - they cost a pretty penny.... I'm probably breaking even about now.
Here is what Brian said. http://www.thedarktower.org/palaver/...l=1#post732357
"Given" wasn't the right word. I'm sure not many we're made available for purchase.

I don't think I've heard of the lifetime memberships, or probably if I did I declined because of lack of funds.
