Apologies. I was reading too fast and voted for 28 Weeks later. I would like to remove that vote and change it to Road to Perdition. Thank you.

Also, shocked and saddened to see United 93 with just one vote, mine... One of the best films of that year.

I just added another one. You are spot on - it's a great film. Easily on the best two in this four.

I can't bring myself to watch it, knowing it is a true tragedy. I watch movies to be entertained, and I can't see how I would be entertained by that. For such things, I prefer documentaries.

Some of the best films ever made make you sad, make you cry, make you depressed. That's the power of the art.

Yes, but I just don't like watching a dramatization of innocent peoples last hour alive. It feels ghoulish to me.

Honestly I kinda feel that way about that movie. To me it's like the Holocaust museum in DC. I think it's an experience everyone should have, but it's not pleasant and I'll probably never go back.

Never had the desire to see it. Again, for the most part not much interested in historical movies, since there is a large amount of fictionalization to fill in the gaps. Since I don't know whats accurate and whats embellished, I don't want to make a fool of myself by thinking something is fact when in fact it is just something either made up for the film or just speculation. Would much rather watch a documentary on it (him).

That's not to say that I never watch historical movies, but the urge is just not great for them (I did watch Pearl Harbor ).

Art is a way of understanding life. I get folks that don't want to relive traumatic events. I've known a few vets that could not watch war movies. And your complaint about how Hollywood handles the truth is well-founded but art is a lie that helps to understand the truth. Paraphrasing Picasso there but I think I understand what he meant by that.

But films and documents of these events must stand and must be seen by future generations because humans have a very short memory.

Watching United 93 made me respect what those passengers did aboard that plane even more. Their story needed to be told and a documentary doesn't tell the whole story for me.

Such a shame to see United 93 out so early.
