God knows my budget wasn't really set up to take this hit this month, but I couldn't pass this one up.

I'm passing it up. It is a strange combination of what seems like 4 artist editions with the author signing one book. Just doesn't do anything for me.

If I remember correctly, Joe initially couldn't figure out what to doodle, so the earlier signatures are just that.

I mean this in the nicest way, but FUCK! This is been a good year for my collection, but a bad year for my wallet. Its a good thing I like Mr. Noodles, because I have a feeling it will be on the menu for sometime to come.

I'm currently on a lay-a-way plan with Camelot to acquire the first 3 volumes. Guess I'll be going back to the well again once that's paid up!

Dez's "Queen of the Hill" inscription is one of the coolest I've seen. Can't recall would scored that for her. I'm sure she'll chime in though

Also, any book you order from Water Street; Joe will usually inscribe I have several and several will be on the way once he gets to 'em.

Thanks for heads up - now I can order volume #4 - anyone have #122 of volume #2? I have 122 of 1&3, but #131 of book 2. I got 1&2 aftermarket on eBay for a decent price then grabbed book 3 at a sub press 50% off sale and Bill was able to match my copy of book 1. Now I guess I am in for a full priced copy

    Spoiler:

Yeah, the Phoenix doodles didnt show up until the last signing event of the tour. Until then Joe had tried a few other things like flames on top of the letters but was not happy with any so he left many blank. When I got the one done for Brian it was the first I had seen and when asked (which came out as "that is so fucking cool, when did you start that?) he said that he had just come out with it a few days before. I had to take my copy to a later event and have him add one in!
As a result, I think it should be one of his more uncommon doodles available. Doesn't add much in value, but the Cool Factor adds a lot.

Agreed, Chris! Those of us that collect Hill aren't really into the value game anyway. The value lies within us, and that of which folks are willing to obtain them for their fellow collector. The copies that you and Alan obtained for me are two of the treasures in my collection.
